26 Mar National Religious Broadcasters Convention
Dr. Brenda Miller Chambliss and I on Facebook Live.
I recently attended the National Religious Broadcasters convention at the amazing Opryland Hotel in Nashville, Tennessee. The NRB, as it’s abbreviated, is an annual convention designed to bring together radio, print media, and Christian media vendors who cater to the Christian business community.
It was uplifting to spend time with individuals who dedicate their working lives to the spread the gospel throughout the country and the world.
Danielle Hart, my PR, and marketing director, scheduled 11 interviews in one day with TV, radio, and podcast personalities for me to speak on my spiritual life journey and also on JoJo! What Happened to Your Hair?, my first children’s book that comes out May 22. They began at 10 a.m. and ended around 5:30 p.m. What a long day filled with blessings!
To my pleasant surprise and inspiration, each interview was preceded with a prayer for God’s blessing on our interview.
Off-the-cuff, I was able to meet Dennis Prager, nationally syndicated conservative radio talk show host and writer. I gave him my signed sports card with Philippians 4:6-8. Mr. Prager asked me to sit down on the panel and briefly interviewed me on his radio program about my book. We spoke about the influence his videos have on my grandchildren.
What an experience! I learned that some teams in attendance have prayer warriors, who do not attend the conference, that specifically prayer over their team as well as other attendees. I left physically exhausted. More importantly, though, I left spiritually filled up. I am thankful for my time and the opportunities provided at NRB. God is good and is always in control.
Use your creative mind. It’s a gift from God. We are made in His image. – Craig
