Hello World

Hey folks! I appreciate you connecting with me during God’s reinvention of my life towards a direction that has always been part of me.

I am currently developing skills that laid dormant for years. During these years, I played college and professional football, helped raise a family, and also helped build one of the most successful public service education service providers in the nation.

I am thankful to God for these successes (and the failures along the way too) that are allowing me to reinvent the latter part of my life and become who God intends me to be. This is a day-by-day process of yielding and fighting the good fight.

On my website, you’ll find photos of my life. Also, you’ll find what I call my creativity journal. You will see family adventures in pro football to hobby art to notions from my first book, “JoJo! What Happened to Your Hair?” JoJo is my grandfather name and a big part of my new identity. I live grandfatherhood as the greatest opportunity.

“A good person leaves an inheritance for their children’s children . . . ” (Proverbs 13:22)

What began as late night bedtime stories has grown into my children’s book, improved art, and more guitar playing. This is the inheritance I can leave to my grandchildren: creativity.

When I read and prayed to understand Psalms 37:4, I did witness God’s promise by delighting in the Lord and thus receiving the desires of my heart.

I feel like Solomon in 1 Kings 3:1-15 when God said because you did not ask for long life and great riches with wisdom, I (God) will give it all to you. Even now when I think on these words, I feel both warm with joy and tearful towards humanity.

The journey has begun! Thank you for being here with me. – Craig
